Writing concise, engaging text can be a challenge. As an editor, I help pare away excess and confusing text, bringing clarity to the prose. I’m skilled at finding ways to communicate difficult ideas and concepts to the lay reader. As a developmental editor, I also help bring structure to pieces. I helped launch the children’s science magazine KNOW and served as managing editor for six years. I also helped launch Hakai Magazine, an on-line magazine that focuses on science and society in coastal ecosystems, and was its managing editor for almost nine years.
