Stories of Long Beach
Last Updated: Tuesday, July 8, 2014 3:58 pm PDT
Today, Long Beach can seem like pristine wilderness, but this place has been home to a cast of characters: miners and rum runners, draft dodgers and airfores personnel, and so many more. And, of course, it has always been home to the Nuu-chah-nulth people. I'll be giving an illustrated talk on the history of Long Beach, based on my book Long Beach Wild, Monday, July 14 7 pm at the Greenpoint Theatre in Pacific Rim National Park.
