Stuck on my computer monitor is a note that says, “I’m only interested in everything.” I’m not sure where I heard or read that, but it sums me up well. I love to read, travel, hike, visit museums, galleries, cemeteries, and quirky shops, meet and chat with people, and try new things; life is just one big research trip!

I write non-fiction, mostly about science, nature, and west coast history.
I am also managing editor of the children's magazine, KNOW: The Science Magazine for Curious Kids. It’s a great adventure and I’m loving it.
